With a mission to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership
development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter (NCBW-MAC) is proud to present the 2023 Leadership Summit entitled, “Leading the Power of ELEVATED Advocacy”, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at The Thompson Buckhead Hotel, 415 East Paces Ferry Rd., Atlanta, GA 30305.
Buckle up and be prepared to access a Leadership Summit filled with a wealth of leadership insight, that will serve as a catalyst to align leaders, develop solutions, and fuel collaboration, while navigating the challenges of our ever-changing society.

Dr. Kevin James is the 19th President of Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. Under his leadership, the college regained accreditation after a nearly twenty-year hiatus, becoming the first HBCU to achieve such a feat.
After years of serving as General Manager at FOX SOUL, James DuBose was inspired to launch IN THE BLACK NETWORK; his own AVOD platform that lifts Black storytellers and symbolizes Black Excellence.
Gerald A. Griggs is an Atlanta attorney dedicated to Equal Justice for ALL. On April 23, 2022, Attorney Griggs was elected the 13th President of the State Conference of the Georgia NAACP by an overwhelming margin.
Lori Wilson is an American Emmy Award-winning anchor and reporter working at WSB-TV, an ABC affiliate television station in Atlanta, Georgia, where she serves as a news anchor and reporter. She anchors the station’s Channel 2 Action News at 6 and 11 on weekend evenings.
Shirley Clarke Franklin became Atlanta, Georgia’s first African American female mayor in 2001, 58th mayor of Atlanta, as well as the first woman to be a mayor of a major southern city. She currently serves as a member on the board of directors for both Delta Air Lines and Mueller Water Products.
Former music executive Shanti Das began speaking publicly about her own mental health struggles and founded the Atlanta-based organization in 2015 to normalize conversations around mental health, specifically within communities of color.
